Crawford home metro Albany Yard of the Month for December
Daffodil Garden Club selects home of Karen and Steve Crawford for monthly award

ALBANY — The Wiregrass Way residence of Karen and Steve Crawford has been selected December Yard of the Month by the Daffodil Garden Club.
“You can just tell when folks love and appreciate their home …they take pride in the appearance of the home as well as the yard,” Marideane Maxwell, chair of the club selection committee for the monthly recognition program, said, “and this one located at 248 Wiregrass Way certainly fits.”
The Crawfords have been in the home about nine years, Maxwell said, and “admit to enjoying yard work.”
“Extra touches of blooms on the mailbox, as well as throughout the yard, make you want to stop and enjoy the view,” she said. “They are also ready for Christmas and the red really pops.”
Daffodil Garden Club features a different outstanding yard each month. Club members say the hope the recognition program will encourage others to focus on their own yardscaping. The club accepts and seeks out nominations from the public.

The club meets monthly, except for the summer months. The recognition program, however, is year round.
The Daffodil Garden Club’s next scheduled meeting is at 11 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Federated Garden Center, 808 Fifth Ave.
