The Thronateeska Heritage Center invites kids to come out and play during home school days from Thursday through Nov. 9 at the Thronateeska Heritage Center, 100 W. Roosevelt Ave. Each Wednesday, the program will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
Children in kindergarten through the 6th grade will take a look at the physics of motion and invisible energy that surrounds everyone. The program will explore why and how things work as children learn while experimenting, observing, identifying, describing, investigating and finding explanations for an ever-changing world.

Also during the month of October, the Fall Astronomy Series begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Thronateeska Heritage Center, 100 W. Roosevelt Ave.
