CARTER SCHEDULE

President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 148 Georgia Highway 45 North, Plains. The Sunday school class starts at 10 a.m. and is preceded by an orientation period at 9 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. SPECIAL EVENTS

The first Pastor’s Aide Ministry Anniversary Celebration will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 431 S. Pinetree Blvd., Thomasville. Speaker will be the Rev. Tony Sirmons, pastor of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Naylor. Theme of the program is “Being a Servant for the Lord.”

The Church of the Living Word, 930 Rear Gordon Ave., Albany, will conduct its 17th annual Black History program at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Johnny Litman, an Albany attorney and entrepreneur. The program theme comes from Psalm 78:1-3. Contact (229) 435-1195.

CONFERENCES

A Soul-Winning Seminar on how to win souls and influence people for Christ will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, 416 N. Westover Blvd. Dan Del Vecchio, a veteran missionary, will be the speaker, sharing biblical keys for soul-winning. The event is free.
