CARTER SCHEDULE

President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 148 Georgia Highway 45 North, Plains. The Sunday school class starts at 10 a.m. and is preceded by an orientation period at 9 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. The church building opens at 7:30 a.m. Please note Carter’s schedule is subject to change. Visit the church website at www.mbcplains.org.

SPECIAL EVENTS

The Charity Grove Missionary Baptist Church choir of Doles will celebrate its choir anniversary at 2 p.m. Sunday. Dr. Linda Barlow, the Rev. Lonnie Williams Jr. and Bro. Jayden Sims will be the musicians. Sis. Alexus Davis will be the mistress of ceremony. Many choirs from the surrounding area will be on the program.
