CARTER SCHEDULE

President Jimmy Carter is not scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 148 Georgia 45 Highway North, Plains. His next scheduled class is Sept. 4. The Sunday school class starts at 10 a.m. and is preceded by an orientation period at 9 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. The church building opens at 7:30 a.m. Please note Carter’s schedule is subject to change. Visit the church website at www.mbcplains.org.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Kingdom of Heaven Ministries, 132 Upper River Road, Americus, will conduct its 4th Pastor Appreciation services at 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 3 p.m. Aug. 28. Speakers will be: Monday, Prophet Scott Murphy, Prophet Scott Murphy Ministries, Moultrie; Tuesday, Pastor Nishikki Green, New Macedonia Christ Centered Ministries, Albany; Wednesday, Pastor Wallace Jordan III, Wallace Jordan Ministries, Willacoochee; Thursday, Pastor Willie Williams, Immanuel Praise Tabernacle, Moultrie, and Aug. 28, Apostle Nykiki Clark, New Beginnings Ministries, Birmingham, Ala.
