ALBANY — As she talks about the procedures that will be offered at the state-of-the-art Georgia Center MedSpa, a knowing smile crosses Registered Nurse Nicole Miller’s face.
“Oh, yes, there will be ‘Brotox’ for the guys,” she says.
Miller and fellow RN Julie Willis will handle most of the day-to-day treatments at the MedSpa, offering procedures as varied as laser hair removal; Botox, Voluma, Kybella and Juvederm injections; microdermabrasion; chemical peels; and products such as Obaji, Revision and Image.
RN Tammy Eisenhart will administer weight loss and nutrition coaching as well as testosterone and hormone replacement therapy at the MedSpa. She will also design performance eating programs for athletes at Athletic Republic and Dual Threat CrossFit and CrossTraining.
Macon plastic surgeon Dr. Joshua Groves, who went through med school with Albany vascular surgeon Dr. Tripp Morgan, will serve as the medical director of the facility, which opened Friday with a “Botox party.” In addition to leading the staff in procedures provided at the 2407 Westgate Drive spa, Groves will also come to the facility regularly to provide advance services..
“There are some laser treatments and injection techniques that require a surgeon,” Groves said. The plastic surgeon operates Georgia Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery center in Macon.
In the trio of Willis, Miller and Eisenhart, the Georgia Center MedSpa gets more than 30 years of experience in the rapidly growing field of nonsurgical cosmetic procedures and nutrition coaching. And while women have long been the recipients of such procedures and services, Willis notes that more and more men are taking advantage of the technology.
“Today’s guys want to look good, inside and out,” Willis said. “They’re going for laser hair removal, facial massage, nutrition coaching, testosterone concerns and Botox treatments.”
The Georgia Center MedSpa will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
