ALBANY — This month’s Metro Albany Yard of the Month is the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kimpt on South Hill Drive.

The home, selected for November by the Daffodil Garden Club, is at 164 South Hill Drive off Lovers Lane Road in southern Lee County.

“An outstanding feature at the front of the house is an elongated flower bed with azalea and hydrangea,” Marideane Maxwell, chair of the club’s selection committee, said. “Neat and well maintained, the yard will surely get your attention.”

The Daffodil Garden Club each month recognizes a showcase residence in the metro Albany area. Club officials say they hope the recognition program inspires other homeowners in regard to their home’s appearance.

The club, which meets on the third Tuesday of the month from September until May, accepts nominations from the public for its recognition program. Nominations can be made by calling (229) 436-6888 and leaving a message.

This month, Maxwell also has a special request. She said the sign the club posts in the yard of the house being recognized disappeared from the October home on West Doublegate Drive. She said that if the person who took the sign would return it to the address “it would be greatly appreciated.”

The Daffodil Garden Club’s next meeting is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Garden Center, 808 Fifth Ave.

The Daffodil Garden Club has named the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kimpt, 164 South Hill Drive in Lee County, as the November winner of its Yard of the Month program. (Special photo)
