These establishments were inspected June 20-27 by the Environmental Health offices in Dougherty, Lee, Baker, Terrell, Worth, Mitchell and Calhoun counties. To contact the health office, call (229) 438-3943.

DOUGHERTY

June 27

HARVEST MOON, 2347 Dawson Road

Score: 96

Violations: Observed colander filled with cut lettuce placed in dishwasher sink. Person in charge discarded the food item and agreed to educate staff that food items are never to be placed in the dishwasher room. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. PIC and myself observed utensils not stored in a way to avoid food/lip contact. Discussed with him the proper way to store these items. Utensils were then placed in the dishwasher room for rewashing, rinsing and sanitizing. He agreed to educate staff regarding proper way to store utensils. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Remarks: +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit allowed for thermometer accuracy. Person in charge observed condensation in reach-in cooler nearest the grill. He agreed to place a work order to have it serviced. Discussed personal soft drink storage. Discussed splash guards for the new meat and vegetable sink.

Violations: Observed that there were no paper towels and soap at the hand-washing sink nearest the three-compartment sink. The hand sink appeared to be leaking. Owner made aware. Corrected On-Site. Remarks: +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit allowed for thermometer accuracy.
