These establishments were inspected Feb. 28-March 7 by the Environmental Health offices in Dougherty, Lee, Baker, Terrell, Worth, Mitchell and Calhoun counties. To contact the health office, call (229) 438-3943.

PAPA JOHN’S PIZZA, 711 N. Westover Blvd., Suite G

Score: 95

Violations: Observed no written policy for advising employees of reporting foodborne illness risk factors available at time of inspection. Gave PIC another copy of the employee health policy. New Violation. Observed no hand drying provisions were provided at either hand sink in the kitchen. PIC placed paper towels at the hand sink. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Observed no written procedure for instructing employees on the clean up of vomit/fecal incidents onto surfaces in the facility. Gave PIC another copy of the employee health policy. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Observed the posted inspection report was not from the most recent inspection. PIC will post the current inspection. New Violation. Correct by March 7.

PIC will have fume hood cleaned. New Violation. Correct by March 12. Observed floor near fryer with heavy grease buildup. PIC will have floor cleaned. New Violation. Correct by March 14. Observed no drain plug on the Dumpster. PIC will have drain plug placed on Dumpster. Repeat Violation. Correct by March 14.

Violations: Observed Sierra Mist chute not clean to sight and touch with alcohol swab. Discussed with manager. Manager to educate staff on routine cleaning/sanitizing of soda chutes. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Correct by March 7. Observed two food containers not stored at a minimum of 6 inches off the floor. Discussed with manager, who is to educate staff regarding the importance of food containers needing to be kept at a minimum of 6 inches off the floor. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.

Remarks: +/- 3 degrees Fahrenheit allowed for thermometer accuracy.

Violation: Observed Dumpster with no tight fitting lid. PIC will have the lids replaced. Repeat Violation. Correct by March 14.

Violations: Observed clothes for wiping counters and other surfaces stored in a solution that contained QAC 100 ppm instead of QAC 200 ppm. Discussed with CFSM. Sanitizing solution discarded and new sanitizing solution mixed to QAC 200 ppm. CFSM to check sanitizing solution routinely to ensure QAC ppm of 200 or above and educate staff. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.

Remarks: Discussed proper head gear.
