Little Caesar’s Pizza, 1100 N. Slappey Blvd.

Score: 96, Grade: A

Violation: Observed no paper towels located at handwashing sink in back. Employee placed paper towels at handsink — Corrected On-Site; New Violation.

Remark: Plus or minus 3 degrees allowed for thermometer.

Nature’s Cure Inc/Juice Bar, 2818 Old Dawson Road Suite 5

Score: 97, Grade: A

Violation: Observed employees preparing food that were not using disposable or easily cleanable hair nets or other hair restraints. Person In Charge will ensure that all employees wear hair restraints during food prep; New Violation.

Violation: Observed vents in kitchen needs cleaning and ceiling tile that chipping needs replace as needed. PIC will have vents cleaned and ceiling tile replaced. New Violation.

Score: 98, Grade: A

Violations: Observed no previous inspection posted in the facility. PIC will post new inspection report — New Violation. Observed no lid on the trashcan in the women’s restroom. PIC will replace the lid — New Violation.

Krystal, 713 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Score: 87, Grade: B

Violations: Observed food not protected from cross contamination by storing the food in packages, covered containers, or wrappings. Observed butter and frozen burgers uncovered. PIC covered food items — Corrected On-Site; New Violation. Observed ice machine not clean to sight and touch. PIC will have ice machine cleaned and sanitized. New Violation; Observed time as a procedure products not discarded after maximum time of 4 hours. PIC discarded food items (butter, shredded cheese) — Corrected On-Site; New Violation.

Score: 99, Grade: A

Violation: Observed food residue/grease accumulation on non-food contact surfaces (wire storage shelving and on outside surfaces of steam wells) — New Violation; Correct by Feb. 1.

Remark: Reminded owner that certified food safety manager certificate expires in September.

Philly Connection, 2831 Ledo Road, Albany

Score: 94, Grade: A

Violation: No Certified Food Safety Manager on staff during time of inspection — Repeat Violation; Correct by March 1.

Remarks: Owner is temporarily cold holding using ice in prep top cooler near grill until unit can be repaired. Owner stated she will be hiring an employee that has a CFSM certificate within one week or she will take the ServSafe test to become a CFSM by March 1.
