Observed cloths for wiping counters and other surfaces in the facility that were not stored in chemical sanitizer solution between uses. PIC placed cloths in sanitizer bucket. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Observed light bulbs in the walk-in cooler and freezer that were not shielded, coated or otherwise shatter resistant. PIC will have shields placed over the lights. New Violation.

Observed the drain at the Dumpster enclosure was clogged so rainwater and other liquid wastes were not being disposed in an approved manner. PIC called a plumber to unclog drain. New Violation.
Remarks: Gave PIC a copy of the employee health policy, vomit/fecal incident clean-up procedure, food service rules, choking poster, hand washing signs and Certified Food Safety Manager course offerings. Drain at dumpster enclosure will need to be unclogged before permit can be issued.

Remarks: Discussed importance of maintaining clean ice machine. Discussed prep top cooler needing to be serviced due to some items being borderline on cold hold temperature and ice buildup in back.
