These establishments were inspected Nov. 15-22 by the Environmental Health offices in Dougherty, Lee, Baker, Terrell, Worth, Mitchell and Calhoun counties. To contact the health office, call (229) 438-3943.

SALVATION ARMY/MOBILE UNIT, 304 W. Second Ave.

Score: 96

Violations: Observed the CFSM is no longer employed with the facility. A new CFSM must be obtained within 60 days. New Violation. Correct by Jan. 19.

Remarks: A new CFSM must be obtained by Jan 19, 2019. No food on the unit at the time of inspection. Only used during disasters.

SALVATION ARMY SOUP KITCHEN, 304 Second Ave.

Score: 94

Violations: Observed TCS foods held more than 24 hours that were not date-marked. Items will be discarded. Repeat Violation.

Remarks: + or – 3 degrees allowed for thermometer accuracy. Discussed holding foods while waiting to be reheated.

Violations: Observed raw hamburgers in prep top area and in the reach-in meat cooler by grill that were not being maintained at 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below. PIC to discard potentially hazardous foods and have the prep top/reach-in cooler unit serviced. Repeat Violation. Correct by Nov. 20.

Remarks: +/- 3 degrees Fahrenheit allowed for thermometer accuracy. Discussed with Ms. Wilkerson to have staff keep internal thermometers in coolers and freezers within view.

Violations: Observed milk under prep top cooler at 51 degrees F. PIC discarded all milk. New Violation.

Remarks: Discussed with PIC importance of proper storage of raw meats with ready-to-eat foods. Discussed with PIC not overcrowding the bottom of prep top cooler to allow adequate cooling of all items in cabinet. Discussed with PIC importance of maintain a clean freezer and clean freezer floor.
