The days of Rickover — and men like him — are, sadly, all but over. We’ve become a lesser country because of it.

If you ever feel useless, just remember: At least you are not a turn signal in Albany, Ga.
Finally, the moment we’ve been waiting for. The files were finally released … on the assassination of MLK Jr. and Hillary’s email investigation. I am shocked, shocked that Trump’s Justice Department (an oxymoron if there ever was one) did not release the Epstein files that were sitting on the AG’s desk in February, “waiting to be reviewed.” That Man Without a Family
Due to current economic conditions, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.
Wanting to look like a gangster is one thing, but to walk around in a thick long-sleeve sweatshirt with hood pulled up over your head in July in southwest Georgia means you need some kind of help with your mental health. You are not looking cool, you look really stupid.
The Russians only respond to force. Trump is weak.
Recycling? I took my plastic to the recycling center today, and they told me they no longer take plastic. What’s with that?
I do not know why, but folks on West Albertson like to cut down all of their trees. Another house cut down huge, 100-year-old pines and huge oaks in their front yard. Now the place looks like a mobile home park. Are people that afraid of the weather these days?
America was founded as a constitutional republic composed of a limited federal government and sovereign states. The republic ended April 9, 1865, at Appomattox, Va. The coup d’etat by Lincoln and the North converted the republic to a socialist democracy.
I know I should be used to it by now, but I always find myself amazed by these true believer Republicans who say anything about a Democrat telling a lie. The person they bow down to is one of the biggest liars in the history of this country. And they’re all-in with his lies, no matter how outrageous.
No one hires an illegal alien out of the goodness of their heart. They hire them to work them harder, pay them less and undercut the competition.
I can’t agree more with the Squawker comparing Worth County’s Lake Blackshear building code regulations to Crisp County’s. Crisp County is off base, not following federal regulations by not allowing you to add on at current house elevation. Plus, they are giving up untold thousands of Crisp County property tax dollars. Absolutely stupid.
You know what’s funny: Our rich President has convinced MAGA he is working-class, like them.
Are you annoyed that there are 40 students in your kid’s class? That it takes two hours for APD to respond to any call, if ever? Stop voting for these idiotic commissioners. We don’t need more low-income housing or a new courthouse name. Our public services are already stretched too thin. We need more jobs and businesses that pay a living wage for those raising a family here.
