ALBANY — Albany Police Department officers responded to the Albany Mall (2601 Dawson Road) on Tuesday in reference to 20-year-old Cameron Hammond stating that a male snatched $1,000 from his hand and left the area with two females.

Shortly after investigators arrived on scene, a witness said Hammond was playing a gambling game inside the mall. After further investigation, it was determined that Hammond lost his money gambling.

Hammond was arrested and charged with false statements in writing/false report of a crime. He was transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
