ALBANY — The second edition of The Albany Herald-produced Southwest Georgia Outdoors magazine has been published and is available at no cost to the public.
DuBose Porter, the executive director of the Georgia Trust for Local News, The Albany Herald’s parent company, and for Southwest Georgia Outdoors compared the contents of the magazine to “a perfect day outdoors.”
Stories in the second edition of the magazine include in-depth features about foraging in local woods, one of the South’s best bird dog trainers, a how-to for turkey hunters old and new, the search for a world record Flint River shoal bass and the perfect birder outing through the eyes of members of the local Audubon Society chapter, as well as other features. Content is provided by Georgia Trust for Local News staff and other independent outdoors writers.
