Earlier in the week, on March 18, officers responded to an armed robbery at 1400 E. Broad Ave at theDixie Convenience Store. Upon arrival, officers learned that two males entered the store armed with firearms and forced the store clerk behind the counter to give them money.

During the incident, the suspects struck the clerk while demanding money and proceeded to clear the cash drawer. The suspects also took the clerk’s wallet before fleeing the scene.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras inside the store, and during the investigation, the clerk advised officers that the two males had previously been inside the store. While officers were on the scene, they received information that led to the identification of the two males as Randrick Taylor, 17, and Randy Taylor, 20.

Investigators later conducted interviews and obtained a search warrant for the suspects’ last known address. During the search, evidence was recovered that further connected the suspects to the armed robbery.

Both suspects, who are brothers, were taken into custody and transported to the
Dougherty County Jail, on the charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
