A. West Enterprise of Albany in Top 10 for U.S. Chamber of Commerce honor

ALBANY — With just two days remaining for the public to vote, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce notified Albany’s A. West Enterprise that as of last Friday they were in the TOP 10 for the 2015 Community of Excellence Award.

The company is vying to be one of seven regional finalists from among this year’s Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winners to be announced on March 19 and the U.S. Chamber will honor all of this year’s winners at the 11th annual America’s Small Business Summit, taking place June 8 – 10 in Washington, D.C.

During the summit, one regional finalist will receive the DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Sam’s Club, and a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the U.S. Chamber.

This award is decided through online public voting. To show support for Albany’s representative, the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce and the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission are asking everyone to cast a vote for A. Voting ends Wednesday at midnight EST.

The U. S. Chamber of Commerce recognized 100 small businesses throughout the United States as Blue Ribbon Small Businesses. These businesses are eligible for the 2015 Community of Excellence Award. According to the U.S. Chamber this year’s winners were selected from a record number of applicants across the nation.
