TIFTON — The Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Career Center has opened registration for its Feb. 22 Career Fair to area businesses wishing to hire ABAC students.

“ABAC’s Career Center centralizes career development and exploration for our student body and alums, in addition to strengthening employer relations with the broader ABAC community,” Career Center Coordinator Rachel Frantz said. “Students now have a go-to department for help with resumes, interview skills, job searches, and even a ‘career closet’ that provides access to free professional attire appropriate for career fairs, interviews, networking events, and the workplace. The Career Center also provides employers with a dedicated on-campus point of contact for questions regarding job postings and hosting employer events on campus.”

Frantz said that the ABAC Career Fair is the first campuswide career event open to all students from all four schools: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Arts and Sciences, Nursing and Health Sciences, and the Stafford School of Business.

“This inaugural event will allow employers and graduate programs to connect with students seeking full- and part-time employment, internships, and continuing education options,” Frantz said. “Additionally, the Career Fair will showcase our incredibly talented and driven student body to employers and show that ABAC graduates are entering the work force as skilled practitioners of their programs and as leaders ready to take on new and exciting opportunities.”

ABAC’s Career Center welcomes and invites existing employers already familiar with the ABAC brand and new employers as well. Businesses interested in the event can contact the college at [email protected] or (229) 391-4997. Registration for the event is free.
