LEADERSHIP

Leadership Albany conducted its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2014-15 Thursday at the historic Nelson Tift building on West Broad Avenue in downtown Albany.

Graduates included Sherrell Alexander of LadyByrd Event Design;, Jackie Battle, chief of the Dougherty County Police Department; Britt Bazemore of Kingsmark Private Financial Advisors; Michelle Blalock of Marine Corps Systems Command; Susan Brooks of Albany Area Primary Healthcare; Benita Childs of the Albany Police Department; Mandy Flynn from Phoebe Putney; Greg Frich of Raytheon ,and Babs Hall of SOWEGA Council on Aging.

Also, Stephen Harrell of Draffin & Tucker, CaMia Hopson of Bank of America, Mary Martinez Allen of Lily Pad, Tammy McCrary of CTSI, Roger Mishoe of Marine Corps Logistics Command, Jerimiah Pitts of Darton State College, J.D. Sumner of Dougherty County School System, Christy Tinsley of Mauldin & Jenkins, Carroll Weaver of Marine Corps Logistics Command, Danita Wiggins of Albany Housing Authority, Bradley Winn of Procter & Gamble and Eddie Zedaker of TTL.

Leadership Albany was established in 1984 for the purpose of identifying and developing leaders in the Albany area.

SALES

Chad Schwartz has been hired to represent Four Star Freightliner Inc.’s vocational product line in its Georgia territory.

Schwartz, who has been in sales his entire career, will sell new and used trucks in all vocations, as well as line haul tractors to the local fleets.

Schwartz resides in Albany with his wife, Miloy. He has a 14-year-old old daughter, Ariel.

EDUCATION

Jessica Swords has been named director of student accounts in the Office of Student Accounts at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. The office is a new separate entity that was formerly a part of the Office of Student Financial Services.

A Tifton native, Swords has an associate of science in business administration from ABAC and a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Georgia Southwestern State University. She pursuing a master of business administration from Southwestern. Swords formerly was accounts receivable supervisor at Moultrie Technical College before joining ABAC in 2013.
