Albany food store robbery suspect nabbed

ALBANY — A man who police suspect entered Kwick Way Food Mart, 814 N. Jefferson St. about 9 p.m. Monday and demanded money from the register has been apprehended.

The clerk did as he was asked and the robber fled on foot, officials say. Following a lookout issued by the Albany Police Department, the suspect was spotted and apprehended at Monroe Street and Society Avenue, police officials say. Police have not released the suspect’s identity or whether he’s been been charged with a crime.
