School/Year: Baconton Charter, Sr.
Why he’s here: In a 34-20 loss to Terrell County, Beck had a career night for Baconton Charter. He caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Zeke Deen on offense, then he was all over the place on defense. He finished with 10 tackles.

DONTAVIOUS BUFORD
Position: Running back
School/Year: Worth County, Sr.
Why he’s here: Buford benefited from strong play from the offensive line, making his job easy Friday night in a 51-31 victory over Westover. The senior rushed for 220 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns. He was part of a rushing attack that finished with 572 total yards on the ground.

EMORY MCKENZIE
Position: Quarterback
School/Year: Westover, Sr.
Why he’s here: In a losing effort against Worth County, McKenzie was a bright spot. He finished with 212 yards on 25 carries and scored three touchdowns. He also ran three successful 2-point conversion attempts, while also passing for 170 yards on 10 of 14 and throwing one touchdown pass.

JAR’CORIUS MURRAY
Position: Quarterback
School/Year: Mitchell County, Sr.
Why he’s here: Murray is a big reason Mitchell County won its second straight Region 1-A game. He scored all three touchdowns in the Eagles’ 18-0 shutout of Miller County. He threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Demetrius Jones, then scored on touchdown runs on 5 and 6 yards.

Position: Running back/strong safety
School/Year: Monroe, Jr.
Why he’s here: Robinson had the game of his life in a 59-16 victory over Albany High on Thursday. He finished with 123 yards rushing on 10 carries and scored three touchdowns on offense. On defense, he finished with six tackles, caused two fumbles and returned an interception for a touchdown.
