ALBANY — While City Clerk Sonja Tolbert is currently accepting applications for annual appointments to a number of advertised volunteer boards and commissions, she notes an immediate need to fill unexpired terms on two active boards.

The city is accepting applications to fill vacant slots on the Albany-Dougherty Aviation Commission and on the Historic Preservation Commission. The former position runs through July 2017, while the latter appointment lasts through August.

Appointments are available to citizens of Albany/Dougherty County and will be made by the Albany City Commission at its Dec. 15 business meeting.

Interested qualified candidates should submit a cover letter of interest and a resume via fax to (229) 878-3198, email to [email protected] or mail to Sonja Tolbert, City Clerk; P.O. Box 447; Albany 31702.
