ALBANY, Ga. — Eugene Sermon Jr., founding pastor of Institutional First Baptist Church and retired emeritus professor of sociology at Albany State University, has published a book titled “The Abundant Life (A Biblical Approach),” which is available at Amazon.com.

“The book is written to address four separate aspects of our lives,” Sherman said, “Those are the arenas of physical status, social contact, financial status and spirituality.”

Sherman said the book is not intended to offer a “quick fix” for any problems of humanity, but simply to provide some new perspectives on living.

“Hopefully, it will provide direction, comfort and inspiration for the reader in search of an abundant life,” Sherman said. “It’s intended to give an individual an perceptual anchor — not just in terms of having money or wealth, but in a physical or health sense. That’s an abundance. Having good friends and finding spirituality — that’s an abundance. The Bible teaches us that God will provide for our needs.”

Sherman also maintains a website at www.biblicalechoes.com, pertaining to his ministry and related information.
