Albany Police Deopartment investigating Friday night slaying of 19-year-old Albany woman

ALBANY – An Albany woman was fatally shot on Friday night, the second death of a teenager by gunshot in as many days in the city.

Eboni Nicole Hood, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting at 12:45 a.m. Saturday at 2204 Champagne Lane, Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler said. Hood was shot in the head during what may have been a domestic altercation.

The Albany Police Department is investigating the slaying.

The previous night Aaron Donye Shade White, 19, was shot outside at the Mt. Zion Garden apartment complex.

Hood’s death was the 15th homicide in the county during 2024.
