ALBANY – The Albany Police Department has identified a 23-year-old man killed in a Friday afternoon shooting at an Old Dawson Road convenience store as Keyvon Hardy.

Hardy and Kameron Jackson, also 23, were involved in a dispute at about 4:28 p.m. with a third man inside the 2824 Old Dawson Road Shell store prior to the shooting, according to police

One of the men retrieved a firearm from his car before the other two exited the store, police said, and shots were fired.

The third man, identified by police as Aaron Santrez Edwards III, fled the scene before officers arrived. Both victims were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where Hardy later died.

Jackson’s condition was reported as stable at about 10 p.m. on Friday, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case call Albany Area Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477) or (229) 431-2100.
