Albany Police make arrest in Sunday shooting, seek person of interest in Saturday slaying

ALBANY – A suspect in an early Saturday morning shooting has been charged with murder in connection with the slaying of his girlfriend.

J’Shon Dayven Price, 21, was charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and aggravated assault, the Albany Police Department said. He is being held at the Dougherty County Jail.

Price is accused of fatally shooting Eboni Nicole Hood at their 2204 Champagne Lane residence. Police were dispatched to the address at about 12:11 a.m. on Saturday.

Price told officers that he accidentally shot Hood, 19.

Hood was shot once in the face, Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler said, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also have identified Trinity Jenkins, 19, as a person of interest in a slaying that occurred in the early morning hours of the previous morning. Fowler identified the victim in the shooting as Aaron Donye Shade White, 19.
