ALBANY — A stabbing stemmed from a domestic dispute on Saturday evening, reports from the Albany Police Department show.

Officers responded to 124 N. Haley St. at around 7 p.m. regarding a disorderly conduct with injuries, where a 52-year-old man was found lying on the ground bleeding from his left forearm. He was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital by paramedics, said Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD.

The man said he was arguing with his live-in girlfriend in the yard of 121 N. Haley St. He told police the two were arguing, and at some point, she took a box cutter out and stabbed him in his left arm. After being injured, he walked to a neighbor’s house to call police, Banks said.

Banks said the case remained active on Monday and had been forwarded to APD investigators.

There was nothing further available regarding whether an arrest was made, or the victim’s status, Monday afternoon.
