ALBANY — The Criminal Investigative Bureau of the Albany Police Department is asking for help in identifying a “person of interest,” in cashing checks belonging to Mediacom, police officials say.

Checks belonging to Mediacom have been cashed in several locations, officials say, and the man is wanted for questioning in the investigation. The man is known to wear a Mediacom shirt with a Mediacom badge attached to the collar, officials say.

Anyone with information regarding the person’s identity or whereabouts is asked to call the Criminal Investigative Bureau at (229) 431-3288 or CrimeStoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477) to leave anonymous information for a possible reward.
