ALBANY — A lookout has been issued by The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau for 19-year-old Vashaun Banks, in connection with a robbery by force which took place on May 25.

A victim of the robbery told officers of the Albany Police Department he was walking with two friends on the 1900 block of West Broad Avenue when they were approached by three black males. According to the victim, the suspects demanded money before attacking and pushing him to the ground.

The victim complied with the demands for money, police officials say, by giving the attackers his wallet, including cash inside.

Victims told police that following the robbery, the bandits fled in a gold-colored four-door sedan driven by an unknown female.

Banks is identified as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 pounds. The suspect is also wanted for contempt of court.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Vashaun Banks is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (229) TIPS (8477).
