Albany robbery an inside job, investigators say

ALBANY — An afternoon robbery of a Dollar Tree store on Monday resulted in the arrest of a store cashier, her son and her boyfriend, Albany Police Department officials say.
William Bullock, assistant store manager, told officers of the Albany Police Department that around 2:30 p.m. Monday he was taking a money bag from The Dollar Tree at 500 N. Slappey Blvd. to his car when he was struck on the head by an unknown male. According to police, the attacker also took an undisclosed amount of cash.
After a description of the suspect was issued by police radio, officers spotted suspects running from the rear of the business and entering a white Chevrolet Suburban, police officials say.
According to a spokeswoman for the APD, officers stopped occupants of the Suburban and the money was recovered.
Police officials say Quintina Adams, a cashier at the Dollar Tree was arrested, along with her son, Montavius Adams, and her boyfriend, Jacob Tyrell Carter. The suspects were charged with robbery by force and transported to the Dougherty County jail. Police said the robbery was conducted using information supplied by Quintina Adams, the store employee.
