Albany State University hosts 2nd annual National Hip-Hop Conference

ALBANY — Students, faculty, staff and the Albany State University community will celebrate hip-hop music and culture at the the 2nd annual “Circling the Elements Hip-Hop Conference” today through Sunday.
The four-day conference includes panel discussions, live performances, essay presentations and a photography exhibit.
This year’s conference features author Joan Morgan; ASU assistant professor of English Kimberly Harper; music photographer Carolyn Grady; Duke University Professor of African & African American Studies Mark Anthony Neal, and ASU English student Lila Willis.
