Albany two vehicle wreck overturns truck

ALBANY — Albany Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday in which a pickup truck was overturned.

Around 9:30 a.m. Kristin Reeves, 23, and an unidentified female passenger were traveling north on North Jefferson Street in a 2007 Ford pickup truck, officials say, and approaching the intersection with Philema Road.

According to police, Jefferson Demott, 18, had been traveling south on North Jefferson Street in a 2007 Toyota Corolla and was stopped at the intersection, waiting to turn left. As the pickup truck entered the intersection, officials say Demott turned left and the Toyota and the Ford collided, causing the truck to overturn.

A spokeswoman for the Albany Police Department said neither of the drivers or the passenger sustained life-threatening injuries, and no charges have been filed.
