TIFTON – Ticket sales for Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s annual “An Evening for ABAC” on Feb. 24 are heading into the final stretch. The last day to purchase tickets for the derby-themed event is Friday.

“There are still tickets available for this fantastic, fun event,” Lynda Fisher, ABAC’s director of alumni and special events, said in a news release. “This year, we have a derby theme to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the Kentucky Derby. We’ll be having a Stallion Derby to celebrate our students and raise money for scholarships.”

Tickets for An Evening for ABAC are $150 for singles and $275 for couples. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible. For tickets, interested persons can visit www.abac.edu/evening until Feb. 9. After that date, anyone interested can call (229) 391-4895 for availability.

The event, which will be held at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center, will include cocktails, dinner, live auction and entertainment featuring Disc Jockey ETC.

An Evening for ABAC provides more than $100,000 in scholarships for the Baldwin Scholars program annually, which has provided over a million dollars in scholarships to ABAC students.

The online auction will also be featured on the event website, with bidding opening on Feb. 21. Participants do not need to be present to bid.
