ARLINGTON — The City of Arlington has received a $40,000 Rural Business Enterprise Grant to construct the Lick Skillet Farmers Market on the Calhoun and Early County line.

This will allow local and regional farmers to sell their produce to the local community. The market will also allow other sellers marketing edible, farm-related produces a central location to sell their products such as jams, jellies, pies/cakes, and boiled peanuts.

The market will be constructed so that as interest increases, more buildings can be added for other farmers and sellers.
