ASU’s Childs named SIAC Player of the Week

Ronnie Childs was named the SIAC’s Player of the Week after helping lead the Golden Rams to a 12-7 victory against Fort Valley State in the SIAC Championship game. Childs had six receptions for 109 yards and scored both touchdowns for ASU.

ASU’s Jamarkus Gaskin was an honorable mention after leadiing ASU’s “Dirty Blue” defense. Gaskin made seven tackles, including five solos and had 1.5 sacks, and also broke up a pass in the victory.

ASU remained ranked No. 5 in the AFCA Division II Coaches poll.
