ALBANY, Ga. — While police have managed to find Highway 55’s stolen band trailer, the $20,000 worth of music equipment inside has gone to the wind.

Dougherty County Police Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick said that the trailer was found abandoned in a pecan grove off Century Road in Lee County.

“We’ve located the trailer, but all of the equipment inside is still missing,” Kirkpatrick said.

The popular local band’s trailer was reported stolen off Byron Plantation Road early Friday morning. It was filled with musical equipment, some of which was custom made.

Kirkpatrick says the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information about the thefts is urged to call Crime Stoppers. The person giving the tip can remain anonymous and be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.

Highway 55 was the 2012 Georgia Country Awards Band of the Year.
