Boy Scouts issue Top the Tank challenge, Phoebe Putney walks for breast cancer

ALBANY — Linda Van der Merwe, vice president of oncology services at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, encourages Phoebe employees to donate to the “Top the Tank” campaign to help offset gas expenses for breast cancer patients. The challenge was extended during an employee walk for breast cancer at the hospital on Tuesday by Boy Scout Troop 3, which had already contributed $30 to the fund through the sale of pink bracelets.
