ALBANY — The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce honored local organizations during its 2023 Albany Area Chamber Business Awards, a celebration of success, innovation and best standards from throughout the business community. The business awards recognized organizations in five categories: Small Business of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year “Uniquely Albany Award,” Veteran-Owned Business of the Year; and Women-Owned Business of the Year.
“Through the Albany Area Chamber Business Awards we applaud excellence, cast a brilliant light on our community and recognize the remarkable achievements of our member organizations by celebrating their success, innovation, talent, contributions and lasting impact,” Chamber President and CEO Bárbara Rivera Holmes said. “It’s an honor to serve and support these outstanding organizations that contribute so much to Albany’s vibrancy. We are grateful for their leadership and for their ongoing choice to invest in Albany as a hub for greatness.”
The five category winners were Uniquely Albany Award — Flint River Entertainment Complex; Women-Owned Business of the Year — Alma’s Baby World; Veteran-Owned Business of the Year — Limbcare Prosthetic and Orthotics of Georgia; Nonprofit of the Year — United Way of Southwest Georgia; and Small Business of the Year — RE/MAX of Albany.
Businesses from throughout the community were nominated by the public. Award finalists were then chosen by a volunteer selections committee as shining examples of exemplary businesses and organizations. From among the finalists, the five category winners were selected, highlighting the excellence and impact that these businesses bring to the vibrant tapestry of the Albany area.
These five categories were represented well by finalists Alma’s Baby World, Feeding the Valley, First Media Services, Flint River Entertainment Complex, Limbcare Prosthetics and Orthotics of Georgia, Mauldin & Jenkins, Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant, O’Neal’s Consulting & Training Services, Princeton Place Apartments, RE/MAX of Albany, Roots & Wings Boutique, Southern Premier Suites, U.S. Screen Printing and Signs, United Way of Southwest Georgia and The Junior League of Albany.
Uniquely Albany Award — Flint River Entertainment Complex: The Flint River Entertainment Complex stands as a vibrant hub for family fun, offering an array of entertainment options across its three dynamic venues.
