City of Albany workers were busy on Wednesday taking down a series of trees along North Jefferson Street, including a large oak. The trees are located on the east side of the street across from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in close proximity to the construction project at the former Albany High School. The Phoebe Living & Learning Center, a joint project with Albany Technical College to train medical personnel, is scheduled to open in August.
