ALBANY — Ballet Theatre South will present “Coppelia” this weekend.

Performances will be held 7:30 p.m. today and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Albany Municipal Auditorium.

Reserved seats are $15, with box office opening an hour before each show.

“Coppelia” tells a love story of Franz and Swanhilda.

“It is also a comedy involving mysterious Dr. Coppelius and his doll creation, Coppelia,” a news release states.

Bringing the classical ballet to life will be a cast of 45 area dancers, as well as professional guest performers from Albany, Tallahassee, Fla., and New York City.

“‘Coppelia’ is a classical ballet that will be enjoyed by children and adults of all ages,” the release states.
