Court records show deputies arrested 41-year-old Edward Ridley of Cordele and charged him Saturday with felony promoting prison contraband.

He was still being held at the jail Thursday on $7,500 bond.

Records show Ridley entered the Pike County Jail with a styrofoam container of Chinese food, including rice and shrimp, for inmate Vincent Thomas, and deputies say a jailer using a fork to search the food found a bag of marijuana.

If convicted, Ridley faces one to 10 years in prison
