Darrisaw solid choice for State Court judge
Dunn Stapleton
Victoria Darrisaw is a solid choice for State Court judge. I have appeared before Judge Darrisaw in Magistrate Court and I have found her to be competent, open-minded and without bias for either party, fair, knowledgeable of the law and attentive to the matter before her. She is fully prepared for the position of State Court judge, having clerked for two judges, including Judge Louis Sands; having prosecuted cases as an assistant district attorney in the South Georgia Judicial Circuit and here in Dougherty County, and having served on the bench as a magistrate judge for more than three years.
The Magistrate Court handles more than 10,000 civil cases each year and most are resolved within 60-90 days. Judge Darrisaw handles her share of that large caseload. In addition, Judge Darrisaw has already presided over jury trials in State Court by designation. She has the experience to serve from day one and she will be a good public servant and a good steward of taxpayer dollars.
Judge Darrisaw is respected by members of both the civil and criminal Bar and appears to be similarly respected by law enforcement personnel and other courthouse personnel.
Victoria Darrisaw is well qualified to serve as the next State Court judge and I urge you to vote for Judge Darrisaw on July 31st.
