ALBANY – Here is the updated list of candidates who qualified to run in the May 21 general primary and nonpartisan elections for contests in Dougherty County:

School Board at Large member: Geraldine Hudley, incumbent, Democrat.

School Board District 1: Robert Youngblod, incumbent, Democrat; David Maschke, Republican.

School Board District 3: Velvet Edwards Poole, incumbent, Democrat.

School Board District 5: James C. Bush, incumbent, Democrat; Wanda M. Mallard, Democrat.

County Commission District 1: Edward C. Newsome Jr., incumbent, Republican; Larry G. Harris, Democrat.

County Commission District 3: Clinton Johnson, incumbent, Democrat.

County Commission District 5: Gloria Gaines, incumbent, Democrat; Thomia Tonya Thomas, Democrat.

Clerk of Superior Court: Phyllis N. Johnson, Democrat.

Sheriff: Keithen “Keke” Hall, Democrat; Terron Hayes, Democrat.

Coroner: Michael Fowler, Democrat.

District Attorney: Gregory W. Edwards, incumbent, Democrat; Elizabeth “Givens” Gibson, Democrat.

Nonpartisan Races

Judge of Superior Court: Victoria S. Darrisaw.

Judge of Superior Court: Victoria Matu Johnson, Michael Tabarrok, Valerie Brown-Williams.

Judge of Superior Court: Denise Marshall.

Probate Court Judge: Leisa Green Blount, incumbent.

State Court Judge: John M. Stephenson, incumbent.
