Republicans quit being the Religious Right years ago. The only almighty they worship now is the dollar.

Having health insurance and not worrying about getting medical care will be a blessing.

The biggest mistake liberals make is they think if they steal the fruits of your labor that you will continue to grow fruit for them to take. The fruit orchard is shutting down. That is the problem with our economy.

If you are going to drive less than the speed limit on the bypass, please stay in the right hand lane. If not, I will ride beside you in the slow lane and match your speed, and I won’t let you get over to exit.

We have a friendly town until they get behind a wheel of a car. Then, they transform to a certain variety of a mule.

The article says Albany is the first city Mediacom is converting to digital. Why Albany first and why a conversion when HD Digital is already available without any equipment from Mediacom? The reason is Albany has the highest cable theft rate of any Mediacom location.

I am concerned for the safety of those who choose to jog/run/walk in the non-daylight hours. Please purchase some reflective clothing and get off of the roadway. I do not want to be responsible for injuring or killing you.

Christian conservatives do not want to starve anyone. They want a balance between personal responsibility and charity.

Restaurants are using too much salt. We are killing our children, and ourselves, if we eat out a lot.

Our commissioners need to do more about bringing jobs to Albany.

Republicans used to say repeal and replace Obamacare. Now they just say repeal because they have no ideas on how to get affordable health insurance for 30 million Americans.

We’re concerned about everything in this country except our veterans.

It is sad that a squawker is so filled with hate that they suggested that soldiers attack the White House. That crossed the line and I am disappointed that The Albany Herald published it.

Heard on the news that the government had been shut down temporarily 20 times since 1977. Did anyone notice any of them?

If a CR or a budget is not passed by Oct 1, many civilian defense workers will be sent home and the country’s national defense will be compromised. The Tea Party Republicans are the ones standing in the way. This will give aid and comfort to our enemies. And in my book that makes them the agents of Al Qaeda.

I am a Republican and I represent the Christian Right. I do think we should take money away from people who do not try to help themselves. God helps those who help themselves.

I disagree with the assessment of low information voters. They know exactly what they are doing. They vote for people who will send them money. I doubt there will be another Republican president in my lifetime.
