East side restaurant robbed at gunpoint

ALBANY — The Subway sandwich shop at 2215 E. Oglethorpe Blvd. was robbed Tuesday evening by two black males with guns, Albany Police officials say.
According to Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the Albany Police Department, the robbery occurred around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday when the suspects walked up to the counter and demanded money from the cashier. Banks said the suspects fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money. The investigation is ongoing, Banks said.
