ALBANY, Ga. — Easter Seals Southern Georgia announced its official ornament of the 2012 Christmas season recently, “A Visit from St. Nicholas.”

The new ornament depicts Christmas in Albany, according to Easter Seals officials.

Easter Seals Southern Georgia provides direct services to children and adults with disabilities on a year-round basis. Money raised through the sale of the ornaments will benefit the numerous children and adults served by the agency.

The ornament is the 21st in the Easter Seals series and is made of 24-carat gold plate over brass. The ornaments are numbered and packaged in a holiday gift box.

For the first time, the ornament depicts a young girl with special needs accepting a gift from Santa. A decorated Christmas tree is featured in the background.

“We are so proud of this longstanding Christmas tradition,” said Beth English, executive director of Easter Seals Southern Georgia. “The ornament really will add something special to your tree. It is wonderful to see everyone coming together to support our organization during the season of giving.”
