Open letter to the superintendent of the Dougherty County School System:

Upon learning that you are putting into question the qualification of the said vacancy for the head coaching position of football coach, I want you to clearly understand that just a few short months ago we went through the same thing with you not having the neccessary experience to do the job which you currently hold. You have a coach right now at Dougherty by the name of Corey Joiner who doesn’t have head coaching experience, but what he does have is that he is a proven leader and a great teacher who has a wonderful connection with the kids that are around him each day.

I currently do not have any kids in the Dougherty County school system, but I do know when a wrong has been comitted. Mr. Murfree, I do know that you have an atheletic director who is more than capable of making a decision as to who is best fit to be head coaches, so let him do his job. Stop trying to micromanage everything in the school; concentrate on lowering the dropout rates and unwanted teen pregnancies.

If I am correct, weren’t you No. 27 or 37 on the list of finanlist for the position that you currently have and did we, as taxpayers, have to pay someone else to do your job until you gained all the neccessary experience? I do clearly remember as being one of the people who gave you backing and the benefit of the doubt, so do the same for Corey Joiner and stop looking all over the planet when you already have a great coach.
