Amelia Fletcher collects ammunition for a snowball showdown Sunday morning after a little more than an inch of the white stuff accumulated in her grandparents’ yard in Albany. Amelia, who lives in Jasper, Ala., teamed with her comrade Brinley Elizondo of Tifton to take on the grown-ups in the epic battle, won, of course, by the girls. The snowfall marked the second consecutive year of significant snow in the region, leading the enlightened to shout, “Where’s your global warming now?”
