ATHENS — Quarterback-turned-receiver Logan Gray announced Tuesday he is transferring from Georgia.
The senior, who will graduate in May, would like to transfer somewhere close to home (Columbia, Missouri) .
“I will graduate in May from UGA with my degree in Speech Communication,” said Gray in a statement on the team’s website. “I plan on playing my last year of football while pursuing my Master’s degree at another school, most likely close to home, where my family can attend all of my games. I would like to thank coach (Mark) Richt for giving me the opportunity to be a Bulldog the last four years, and sticking beside me throughout the whole experience.”
Gray was a reserve quarterback during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, making the switch to receiver in 2010. He finished with nine catches for 105 yards and one touchdown this season.
