GLENDELL COLEMAN: Young adults shut out on jobs

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Glendell Coleman

I have a son who is 24 years of age. He has been applying for jobs for the past three years with no luck in getting any type of job. Every time he completes an application, he may get an interview and then is told he does not have enough work experience.

I would like for someone to tell me how does one go about getting work experience if no one will give them a job? This frustrates me to no end and it just devastates my son.

Who is going to work when the baby boomers are too old to work? None of the younger generation is going to have any work experience! How do you go about being given a chance to work in this country?
